Maureen E. Ritter started taking pictures as a child, watching her mother, Helen Monahan Ritter, enthusiastically taking pictures of the family and the New York World's Fair in the 1960s. As her mother's passion for photos grew, her eyesight failed. The cameras she used were passed down to her by her father, Thomas Francis Monahan, of Brooklyn, NY, who worked for a time as a Travel Photographer, before settling into a career with New York Bell Telephone to support his growing family.

Maureen has been creating custom photo collages since 1978, using 35mm film cameras and huge wood boards with Plexiglas covers. Each summer, from 1978 through 1982, MoeRs latest collages were created and displayed at the Sugar Bowl in Breezy Point, Queens, NY. Additionally, Maureen has done some freelance work with local newspapers in Rockaway, Queens, New York and Englewood, Florida.

MoeR Photo Designs has naturally progressed and expanded into related areas. In 2003, an increased interest in Genealogy influenced an expansion into family heirloom photo archival and restoration services.

"As an extremely visual person, I love using images to express how I see the world. I use photography and web presence to promote ideas and to share in my images the emotions I experience through the lens, with others. I hope to move people with my photography."

"With that goal in mind, I have increased my portfolio exposure through several web and social outlets and continually seek new challenges, projects and opportunities for surf, children, travel, portrait and real estate photography."

Maureen is also creating photo art and collages using various techniques.

Maureen is available to work with individuals and families, to preserve, restore and create impressive family collages, worthy of display in any fine home or to be used at family holiday or seasonal gatherings and reunions.
